Bibliometric Analysis of Scientific Publications on Child Mental Health (2000-2022) and Turkey's Contribution
Abstract
Bibliometric analysis studies are studies that reveal research trends by examining existing studies in the literature on certain subjects and guide future research based on this. Child mental health is also an important issue that attracts the attention of the scientific world and is the subject of scientific publications. In this study, using bibliometric analysis method, it is aimed to reveal the status of scientific publications on child mental health between 2000-2022 and Turkey's contribution to these publications. In the study, the Scopus database was examined with the bibliometric data analysis technique. As a keyword, a search was made using the phrase "child mental health" in English in the title section. All articles published between 2000 and 2022 were included in the study. Articles published outside the journal were excluded from the study. In the study, 7960 studies were reached with keywords at the beginning. 6914 of them were made in 2000 and later. 5015 of them are research articles published in a journal. In the study, analyzes were made on these 5015 articles. The languages of the related articles are English (n = 4782), German (n = 64) and Spanish (n = 49), respectively, in terms of frequency. The country with the highest number of publications on child mental health is the United States (n = 1821). There are 52 articles from Turkey contributing to this issue, and it is in the nineteenth place. According to the productivity criteria, when compared to the 2000s, publications on child mental health have increased approximately five times in the 2020s.
