Creativity is transferring of the ideational innovation to the application.
Organizational creativity is achieved through individuals, who generate new ideas and apply
them, to improve the innovative performance in corporate activities. For
organizational creativity, it is really necessary that a new
idea must be created. This study aims to determine the impact
of creativity dimensions (organizational encourage-ment, supervisory
encouragement, work group supports, sufficient resources, freedom,
organizational impediments, and workload pressure) on organizational
creativity. In addition, it is aimed to provide recommendations based on
results regarding positive or negative effect of creativity dimensions on the
development of organizational creativity. In this empirical study, the data on
perceptions concerning creativity and organizational creativity was gathered by
means of a questionnaire from 127 participating sublevel managers working in
different provincial directorates of a public organization in Turkey. Data were subjected to analysis with SPSS 16.0 software and presented in tables. The findings showed that creativity dimensions; while
organizational encouragement and work group supports have positive impact, sufficient resources have negative impact, on the other hand
freedom, organizational impediments, and workload pressure have no significant
impact on organizational creativity.
