Diseases Causing Lameness by Incorrect Feeding in Horses

Abstract

Lamennes is major cause of economic losses for horse breeding and there are many reasons. Nutritional disordes plays an important rol in the pathogenesis of Lameness in horses. Deficiencies, excesses, and imbalances of nutrients may result in an increase in both the incidence and severity of Laminitis, Myopathy, Azotüri, Developmental Orthropedic Disease [Osteochondritis dissecans, Subchondral cystic lesions, Angular limb deformitesi, Physitis, Flexural deformiteler, Cuboidal bone abnormalities, Juvenil osteoarthritis, Cervical Vertebral Malformation (CVM or Wobbler’s Syndrome)]. This review was planned for draw attention on the importance of feeding in horses.

Atlarda Yanlış Besleme Sonucu Topallığa Sebep Olan Hastalıklar

Abstract

Topallık at yetiştiriciliği için önemli bir ekonomik kayıptır ve sebepleri çok çeşitlidir. Beslenme bozuklukları atlarda topallığın patogenesisinde önemli bir rol oynar. Besin dengesizliği, yetersizliği ve fazlalığı; laminitis, myopati, azotüri, gelişimsel ortopedik hastalıklar (Developmental Orthropedic Disease) [Osteochondritis dissecans, Subchondral cystic lesions, Angular limb deformitesi, Physitis, Flexural deformiteler, Cuboidal bone abnormalities, Juvenil osteoarthritis, Cervical Vertebral Malformation (CVM or Wobbler’s Syndrome)] ın sıklığı ve şiddetinde artışa neden olabilir. Bu çalışma bazen Veteriner Hekimlerin dikkatinden kaçan ve topallığa sebep olan bu hastalıkların etiyolojisinde beslenmenin önemine dikkat çekmek için planlandı
