The International Journal of Sport Sciences Student Studies (E-ISSN:2687-587X), which started its publication life in 2019 as a peer-reviewed and academic electronic journal, is an open access, non-profit journal.

Our journal includes original, review paper and research studies prepared by individuals, willing to contribute to the field of sports sciences.

Undergraduate / graduate students to be in the top three names in the studies is the reason for encouraging in our journal. Students are required to document their status.

In addition to undergraduate/graduate students, our journal also includes studies of other researchers.

The language of the journal Turkish and English. However, studies written in different languages, that are thought to contribute to the field, are accepted for publication after the approval of the editorial board.

International Sport Sciences Student Studies is published twice a year (June and December) as online. However, if necessary special issues are also included.

It is recommended to submit your article via logging into https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/i4s, Studies not sent via the system are not accepted. Writing rules are as follows;


Font: Times New Roman


Font Size: Title 12, Abstract 10, Text 12


Page Margins: 2.5 cm from all sides.


English translation should be supported by competent persons and institutions.


Paragraph indentation should not be used in the manuscript, and the line spacing should be “single” and 0 nk. There should be single line spacing after headings and paragraphs.


Tables, charts, figures, etc. The headings of the images should be 12 pt., the content should be 10 pt. (7-10 pt. if necessary) and should be prepared according to APA 6 style.


Study pages and References should not be numbered.


The article will include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Reference. Titles are flush left and the first letter will be capitalized.


Manuscripts should be uploaded to the system in Microsoft Word format. While preparing your manuscript please use the I4S Manuscript Template


It is mandatory to include Extended summary according to the language of the publication.


Reference must be 10 pt. and Indent must be special (hanging) and line gap must be 0 pt (before and after) and single.


Abstract should not exceed 200 words.


Turkish extended summary should be on the last page of the study and at least 750 words.


3-7 keywords related to the content of the study should be given and keywords should be separated by commas.


Figure text and the number should be written in italics and the text part should be written normally. The example is given below.

Reliability results of scale application

The guidelines given by the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE) are taken as reference in case of any disputes related to the studies in our journal.

Author's responsibilities:

General

Authors of original papers should present an accurate account of the work as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to check on or replicate the work. Authors are also required to prepare their manuscripts according to the format given in Manuscript Guidelines for International Sport Science Student Studies.

Multiple Publication

International Sport Science Student Studies Journal requires all authors of research paper to sign a letter that states that the manuscript has not been published before, and is not under consideration for publication in any other journals. The author or authors should agree also to transfer to International Sport Science Student Studies all rights, including the exclusive right to electronically store, reproduce and distribute the contribution wholly or in part, including publish, reprints, translations, photographic and reproductions. (Submission and Publication Acceptance Agreements) But authors do retain their copyright. Submission to this journal means that all the listed authors have agreed to terms.

Originality, Plagiarism and Acknowledgement of Sources

The authors are responsible to ensure the originality of their submissions. It is expected that the data in the articles will be authentic. Authors must submit only original works, and should appropriately cite or quote the work and/or words of others. Author are required to send a statement indicating that the submission is original work (General Requirements). Authors obliged to participate in peer review process Authors are obliged to participate in a peer review process of their submitted manuscript. They should communicate with International Sport Science Student Studies editors and respond to all the comments and any suggestions of reviewers. They should also follow any relevant deadlines. Authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes. All errors discovered in the manuscript after submission must be swiftly communicated to the Editor. Authors of published material also have a responsibility to inform the journal promptly if they become aware of any part that requires correcting.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author will ensure that all contributing co-authors are included in the author list. The corresponding author will also verify that all co-authors have approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication. Author/s attest to the fact that all Authors listed on the title page have contributed significantly to the work, have read the manuscript, attest to the validity and legitimacy of the data and its interpretation, and agree to its submission to the International Sport Science Student Studies Journal. All authors agree that author list is correct in its content and order and that no modification to the author list can be made without the formal approval of the Editor, and all authors accept that the Editor’s decisions over acceptance or rejection or in the event of any breach of the Principles of Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement in International Sport Science Student Studies Journal being discovered of retraction are final. No additional authors will be added post submission unless editors receive agreement from all authors and detailed information is supplied as to why the author list should be amended. On behalf of all Co-Authors, the Corresponding Author shall bear full responsibility for the submission. Any violation of the terms of Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement may lead to retraction the paper.

Conflicts of Interest

All authors should include a statement disclosing any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors work with an international advisory board that guides the shaping of the journal, as well as with international board of editors for submitted manuscripts. Editors should ensure that all research material they publish conforms to internationally accept ethical guidelines.

Editors are responsible for the contents and overall quality of the publication. Editors should always consider the needs of the authors and the readers when attempting to improve the publication. Editors should guarantee the quality of the papers and the integrity of the academic record.

Editors should base their decisions solely on the papers’ importance, originality, clarity and relevance to publication’s scope. Editors should not allow any conflicts of interest between authors, reviewers and board members.

Editorial board must confirm receipt of submitted papers and to ensure the efficient, fair and timely review process of submitted papers (Review procedure).

The Editor is required to deal fairly with an author’s appeal against the rejection of a submitted manuscript. Editor should decide to accept or reject a manuscript for publication with reference only to the manuscript’s importance, originality and clarity, and its relevance to the journal. The Editor can reject any article at any time before publication, including after acceptance if concerns arise.

Editors should make known any conflicts of interest that might arise, specifically, in cases where an editor is an author of a submitted manuscript, the manuscript must be passed to another editor for independent peer review.

Editors should act if they suspect misconduct, whether a paper is published or unpublished, and make all reasonable attempts to persist in obtaining a resolution to the problem.

Editors are responsible to take a decision regarding any academic misconduct or convincing evidence that a published manuscript is erroneous, usually through consultation with the author. This may require the publication of a formal ‘retraction’ or correction.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

All reviewing judgments should be objective

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author(s) is inacceptable. Referees should express their views clearly with appropriate supporting arguments. Reviewers are expected to respond promptly to requests to review and to submit reviews within the time agreed. Reviewers’ comments should be constructive, honest, and polite.

Reviewed articles should be treated confidentially

Reviewers should regard a submitted manuscript as a confidential document and not meant to be public, and so should not use, share or disclose unpublished information in a manuscript. Reviewers must not publicly discuss an authors’ work before the manuscript is published. Reviewers must not retain the manuscript for their personal use and should destroy copies of manuscripts after submitting their reviews.

Reviewers should have no conflict of interest with respect to reviewed articles

Reviewers must disclose to editors any conflicts of interest that could bias their opinions of the manuscript, and should recuse themselves from reviewing specific manuscripts if the potential for bias exists. Reviewers must not use knowledge of the work they’re reviewing before its publication to further their own interests.

Reviewers should assess the manuscript in a timely manner.

Reviewers must fulfill their responsibility by rigorously assessing a given research manuscript within time limits specified. If reviewers are unable to review the paper in a specified time, they should inform the editorial board immediately by e-mail to the editor.

Reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited

Reviewers should call to the editor’s attention any substantial similarity between the manuscript under consideration and any published paper.
