TÜRKİYE’DEKİ HUKUK PROFESYONELLERİNİN ÖTANAZİYE BAKIŞ AÇISI-EUTHANASIA PERSPECTİVE OF LEGAL PROFESSIONALS IN TURKEY

Abstract

Ötanazi sosyal, hukuki, dini ve tıbbi yönü olan geniş bir kavramdır. Genel olarak ötanaziyi tıbbi yöntemlerle hafifletilmeyen bedensel ve ruhsal sürekli dayanılmaz acıların etkisinde bulunan ve hastalığının iyileştirilmesini çağdaş tıbbın gerçekleştiremediği hastaların ızdıraplarına kolay, ağrısız ve acısız biçimde son vermek şeklinde ifade etmek mümkündür. Ötanazi dünya genelinde Hollanda, Belçika ve Lüksemburg gibi bazı ülkelerde yasal olmasına rağmen bazı ülkelerde yasaklanmış olup, ceza kanunlarında adam öldürmeyle eşdeğer bir eylem olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Türkiye’de de koşullar gerçekleşse bile kanunlara göre yasal değildir. Bu çalışmada bu gerçeklerden hareket edilerek Türkiye’deki sağlık çalışanlarının ötanaziye bakış açılarıyla ilgili Türkiye ve dünyadan örnekler verilmiştir ve çalışmaya katılan hukuk profesyonellerinin ötanazi konusundaki görüşlerinin literatürdeki başka çalışmalarla karşılaştırmalı analizi yapılmıştır.
