Abstract

Çalışmada da 27 Mayıs askeri darbesi ile 28 Şubat postmodern darbe arasındaki Konya genel seçim sonuçları analiz edilecek ve seçim sonuçlarına etki eden sosyolojik, siyasal, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik faktörlerin seçmen davranışına olan etkileri tartışılacaktır. Bu iki darbe arasındaki 12 Mart ve 12 Eylül gerçeği ve otuz yılı aşkın sürecin on yıllık periyotlarında bir darbeyle karşılaşılmış olması bu dönemin önemini daha da artırmakta, araştırmacıları teşvik etmektedir. Seçmen tercihlerinde küçük yaşta ailelerinin ve yakın çevrelerinin etkisiyle geliştirilen siyasal sosyalleşme sürecine odaklanarak siyasi yönelim geliştirmesini önceleyen sosyo-psikolojik yaklaşım (Michigan Ekolü) ile sosyal grubun üyesi olma ya da aidiyet hissetmeyle seçmen tercihlerini ilişkilendiren sosyolojik yaklaşım (Columbia Ekolü) esas alınarak bu metodolojik yaklaşımlar doğrultusunda değerlendirme yapılacaktır.

An Evaluation of General Election Results in Konya between May 27th, 1960 and February 28th, 1997

Abstract

In this study, the Konya general election results between the 27 May military coup and the 28 February postmodern coup will be analyzed and the impacts of sociological, political, socio-cultural and economic factors on voter behavior will be discussed. The striking fact of the March 12th and September 12th coups that happened between the aforementioned two coups every decade over a period of more than thirty years increases the importance of this period and encourages researchers to conduct further studies. Two methodological approaches were applied in the study, one of which is the socio-psychological approach that prioritizes the development of political orientation by focusing on the political socialization process developed by the influence of individuals’ families and immediate surroundings at a young age on voter preferences (Michigan School), and the other is the sociological approach that associates voter preferences with being a member of a social group or feeling of belonging (Columbia School). In the context of these approaches, an overall evaluation will be framed.
