İçtimaiyat Journal will implement a policy of paying processing fees to editors and reviewers who contribute to the evaluation process of articles starting from 2026. This regulation aims to enhance the quality of academic evaluation processes, encourage the preparation of more thorough and timely reviewer reports, and support the scholarly effort involved in peer review and editorial work.

İçtimaiyat is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal indexed by ULAKBİM TR Dizin. The Journal of İçtimaiyat welcomes original research in the fields of History, Sociology, and Political Science / International Relations.

The journal operates under a double-blind peer review system and is published electronically via DergiPark on a quarterly basis, with regular issues released in March, June, September, and December. In addition, although not mandatory, the journal reserves the right to publish a special issue in September or October, the theme of which is announced six months in advance.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be prepared in accordance with the APA 6th edition citation and bibliography guidelines, as well as the journal’s submission template and style requirements.

To be considered for a particular issue, articles must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the publication date.

The journal aims to publish up to 15 articles in Turkish and 15 articles in English in each issue, contingent upon the receipt of a sufficient number of high-quality submissions in both languages.
