İktidarın Mekânı Olarak Bir “Ders” ve Öteki(ler) Olarak “Öğrenciler”

Abstract

Mekanın asıl belirleyicisi olan iktidar ile bu mekanı paylaşan farklı
toplumsal gruplar arasındaki ilişki çeşitli ölçeklerde kendisini tekrar eder.
Ulus devletler, coğrafi parçalar, kentler ve en küçük mekansal birim olarak
“yer”ler bu çerçevede düşünülebilir. Yazıda bir mikro kozmos olarak, içeriği
mekan ve iktidar arasındaki ilişki olan bir dersin kendisinin içeriğe nasıl
dahil edildiği ele alınmaktadır. Dersi veren ile dersi alanlar arasındaki
ilişki, de Certau’nun stratejiler ve taktikler kavramı üstünden ele alınmakta
ve bunların dersin işleyişini zaman içinde nasıl dönüştürdüğü; mekan ve zaman
kullanımı stratejileri ve buna karşı geliştirilen taktikler anlatılmaktadır. Bu
dersin yöntemi ve işleyişi hazırlanırken esas amaçlardan biri, sahip olduğumuz
bireysel hak ve özgürlükler, adalet ve demokrasi gibi soyut kavramların “burada
ve şimdi” nasıl tecelli edeceğini keşfetmekti.

A “Course” as the Space of Power and “Students” as Others

Abstract

The relationship between power, which is the real determinant of space,
and different social groups that share that space repeats itself in various scales.
Nation-states, geographical segments, cities and “locale”s as the smallest
spatial units can be considered within this framework. In the essay how a
course, as a microcosm, whose content is the relationship between space and
power, itself is included into the content is addressed. The relationship
between the instructor and the instructed is handled by means of de Certau's
concept of strategies and tactics; and how the strategies and the tactics
transform the delivery of the course, and the strategies of space and time use
and the tactics developed agains them are recounted. One of the main goals of
the course in the process of its preparation in terms of its method and
delivery has been to discover how such abstract concepts we have as individual
rights and freedoms, and justice and democracy will be actualized “here and
now”.
