Arabs made an effort to spread Islam to the African continent through trade, as a result of this effort, Islam reached Nigeria from the western regions. In the following process, the notables of the Arabs established institutions such as schools and masjids, institutes and universities in order to teach and memorize the Qur'an in order to spread Islam in different parts of the continent. While dealing with trade, the Arabs needed a language of mutual agreement among themselves and they tried to meet this need with Arabic. Parallel to this, Arabic began to spread in the region. Hevsa language, which is accepted as the official language in Northern Nigeria, is a name used for both the people who speak this language and the place where this people live. Hevsa tribes, on the other hand, are considered as people who migrated to different regions and preserved their language and culture. There are many words of Arabic origin especially in religious, cultural, social and commercial fields, and a similar situation appears in the fields of education, science and technology. Therefore, it is seen that Arabic words dominate the Hevsa language. In addition, in order to contribute to the protection and spread of Arabic, nahiv, saraf, aruz etc. Arabic books have been written in the fields.
