AKADEMİSYENLERDE ÖRGÜTSEL VE MESLEKİ BAĞLILIĞIN İNCELENMESİNE İLİŞKİN BİR ÖRNEK ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Akademisyenlik, araştırmacılık ve eğitim gibi iki farklı yönü olan, bilgi üretmek ve yaymakla ilgili sorumluluklar içeren ve bu özellikleri gereği “bilgi işçileri” sınıfına dahil olan bir meslektir. Bu çalışma akademisyenlerin mesleğe ve örgüte bağlılıklarını bilgi işçiliği çerçevesinde değerlendirmeyi ve özellikle kısmen bürokratik kısmen profesyonel olan meslekler için geçerli olan “dual bağlılık” biçiminin akademisyenlik için geçerli olup olmadığının sorgulanmasını amaçlamaktadır. Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Öğretim Üyelerini temsil edecek biçimde seçilen 280 katılımcı ile yürütülen araştırmanın sonuçları akademisyenler açısından dual bir bağlılığın varlığına işaret etmektedir. Öngörüldüğü şekilde, akademisyenlerin mesleki bağlılıkları, bilgi işçisi olarak taşıdıkları özellikler nedeniyle örgütsel bağlılıklarından daha yüksektir.
