Abstract

Abstract

Aim: This study aims to examine the effect of school happiness on job satisfaction, as well as to test the mediating role of positive teacher and professional burnout.
Method: The study was designed using a cross-sectional design. The sample group consisted of 516 teachers working in Istanbul. Research data were collected during the 2022-2023 academic year. Data were obtained using the Teacher School Happiness Scale, Professional Satisfaction Scale, Positive Teacher Scale, and Professional Burnout Scale. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and AMOS software.
Results: The study found a significant positive relationship between professional satisfaction and school happiness and positive teacher, and a significant negative relationship with professional burnout. Additionally, the study found that positive teacher and professional burnout played a serial mediating role in the relationship between school happiness and professional satisfaction.
Conclusion: It was determined that teachers with higher school happiness exhibited higher positive teacher characteristics, and teachers with lower professional burnout had higher professional satisfaction.
