The development of new media environments and the advent of Web 2.0 have led to drastic changes in users' roles. These changes brought consumers from the passive masses who only consumed them into producing and participating individuals. The convergence and participatory aspect of new media environments has made users partners in cultural production. In the 2000s, the art of storytelling in digital media became acquainted with the concept of transmedia storytelling. Transmedia storytelling can be explained as presenting different parts of a story from different platforms in a form specific to those platforms.
