In this research, we aimed to determine the care burden and anxiety levels of people who take care for elderly patient. The population of the study consisted of 199 people who care for individuals aged 65 in Ordu province. In collecting the data, ‘’Personal Information Questionnaire’’, ‘’Caregiving Load Scale Form’’ and ‘’Responsibility Anxiety and Continuity Anxiety Scales’’ were applied to caregiving family members. Gender, marital status, being a child, chronic disease, how many people live at home, gender, occupation, monthly income, chronic disease, the reason for giving elderly care, being satisfied with giving care are also stated to affect the level of anxiety. It was determined that the level of anxiety increased as the burden of care increased. In line with these results, in order to reduce care load and anxiety levels in caregivers; physical, social, psychological and emotional health teams, especially nurses and counseling programs can be suggested.
