Dijital gazetecilikte yeni bir kaynak olarak büyük veri kullanımı

Abstract

Dijitalleşme sürecinin en çok etkilediği alanlardan biri de gazeteciliktir. Teknolojik ilerlemeler, veri depolama alanlarını, toplanan veri miktarını ve bu verilerin çeşitliliğini önemli ölçüde artırmıştır. Bu ilerlemeler büyük veri kavramını hayatımızın bir parçası haline getirmiştir. Gazetecilik alanında ise büyük veriden yararlanılarak daha önce hiçbir zaman öğrenilemeyen okur tercihleri, okur tutumları ve davranışları analiz edilmeye başlanmıştır. Kitle analitik araçları denilen bu yazılımlar sayesinde haberin değeri, gazetecinin performans değerlendirilmesi ve editöryal politikalar dahi büyük veriden etkilenir gale gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, büyük verinin verimlilik aracı olarak gazeteciliği nasıl etkilediği incelenecektir.
