Kazakh literature and sociology. The novel deals with the impact of socialism on
Kazakh people, the richness it provides and the benefits it brings in their
life. In the novel those who support socialist reality are portrayed positively. On the contrary,
those who reject socialist way of thinking are portrayed negatively.

G.
Mustafin’in yazmış olduğu Karagandı romanı, Kazak edebiyatı ve sosyolojisi açısından değerlendirmeye
esas bir eserdir. Bu eser sosyalizmin Kazak halkı üzerindeki etkisini,
getirdiği zenginlikleri, insan yaşamına faydaları ele alır. Sosyalist
gerçekçiliğe destek verenlerin olumlu portreleri çizilirken, bu fikrin
taraftarı olmayan kişiler olumsuz şekilde tasvir
edilir. Eserde kişilerin düşünce dünyasının yerine olaylar ön plana çıkar.
