Author Guidelines

1. General Information

The International Journal of Educational Sciences and Innovation (IJESI) accepts original research articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses written in English. All manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the author without peer review.

 

2. Submission Requirements

  • The manuscript must not have been previously published or be under review in another journal.
  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the DergiPark system.
  • All authors must have a valid ORCID number and must be registered with DergiPark.
  • Ethics Committee approval must be obtained for all research involving human participants.
  • A similarity report (iThenticate, Turnitin, or İntihal.net) must be submitted together with the manuscript. The similarity index must not exceed 20% (excluding references).

3. Manuscript File Requirements

Authors must upload the following files separately during submission:

Note: The full text file must not contain any author-identifying information. All author details must be provided only in the Title Page file.

 

4. Title Page

The title page must be uploaded as a separate file and must include the following:

  • Full title of the manuscript (in English)
  • Name(s) and surname(s) of all authors
  • Institutional affiliation(s) of all authors
  • ORCID number(s) of all authors
  • Corresponding author's name, e-mail address, and phone number
  • Acknowledgements (if any)
  • Funding information (if any)
  • Conflict of interest statement
  • Authorship contributions statement

5. Manuscript Structure

a) Title

  • Must be concise, informative, and no longer than 15 words.
  • Must be provided in English.

b) Abstract

  • Must be written as a single paragraph of 150–300 words.
  • Must include: purpose, method, findings, and conclusions.
  • Must not contain citations or abbreviations.
  • Must be provided in both English.

c) Keywords

  • 3–7 keywords, listed alphabetically, separated by commas.
  • Must be provided in English.

d) Introduction

e) Method

  • Must include: research design, participants/sample, data collection tools, data collection process, and data analysis.
  • Ethics Committee Approval details (committee name, date, and number) must be stated in this section.

f) Findings / Results

g) Discussion

h) Conclusion and Recommendations

i) References

j) Appendices (if applicable)

8. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2 / Figure 1, Figure 2).
  • Table titles must be placed above the table; figure titles must be placed below the figure.
  • All tables and figures must be referenced in the text.
  • Tables must be created in Word format, not as images.
  • Figures must be submitted in high resolution (minimum 300 DPI).

10. References (APA 7)

  • The reference list must begin on a new page.
  • References must be listed alphabetically by the first author's surname.
  • Hanging indent format must be used.
  • DOI numbers must be included where available.

Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the article. Title of the Journal, Volume(Issue), Page range. https://doi.org/xxxx

Book:

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the book. Publisher.

Edited Book Chapter:

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the chapter. In A. Editor & B. Editor (Eds.), Title of the book (pp. xx–xx). Publisher.

Thesis:

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the thesis [Doctoral dissertation/Master's thesis, Name of Institution]. Database Name.

Web Source:

11. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their work but grant IJESI the right of first publication. Published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) and may be freely used provided that the original work is properly cited.

 

12. Fee Policy

IJESI does not charge any submission, processing, or publication fees at any stage.
