Open Access is defined as a copyright holder of a scholarly work grants usage rights to others using an open license (Creative Commons or equivalent) allowing for immediate free access to the works and permitting users to read, download, copy, scan, distribute, print of them and link to the full texts of articles or use them for any other lawful purpose. Our journal's open access policy is in line with this.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Open Journal System is used to publish IJISEF.

The literature that scientists present to the world without the expectation of pay should be freely available online. This category primarily covers peer-reviewed journal articles. However, preprints of studies that have not undergone any peer-review process are also included in this category. Open access gives readers the extra power to find and use literature resources; provides broad and measurable new environments of visibility for authors and their work, and increases readership and influence.

The tradition of scientists publishing their work free of charge in academic journals in order to share research results has been combined with technology.
