SOCIAL INNOVATION CONCEPTUAL MODEL PROPOSAL

Abstract

The issue of social innovation has a long history date back to Max Weber, Talcott Parsons and Schumpeter’s researches. The social innovation has recently gained more attention among academician from economy to management and development to policy. For that reasons the objective of this paper is to determine concept and context of social innovation, to reveal the relationship between social innovation and social change, to propose a conceptual model of social innovation based on literature review. In conclusion a social innovation definition is proposed. Social innovation is a process that triggered by social, environmental and economic problems faced by humanity, and implemented by various actors, and the only purpose of it to solve problems more effectively and efficiently than existing ones, and results in the desired systematic social change

SOSYAL İNOVASYON KAVRAMSAL MODEL ÖNERİSİ

Abstract

İnsanlık tarihinin başlarına kadar uzanan sosyal inovasyon Max Weber, Talcott Parsons ve Schumpeter’in araştırmalarıyla kavramlaşarak literatürdeki yerini almıştır. Son yıllarda ekonomiden işletmeye, bölgesel kalkınmadan politikaya bütün alanlarda ilgi çekmeye başlamıştır. Bundan dolayı çalışmanın amacı olarak sosyal inovasyon kavramı ve kapsamının belirlenmesi, sosyal inovasyon ve sosyal değişim ilişkisinin ortaya çıkarılması, literatür taraması sonucu bir sosyal inovasyon kavramsal modelinin önerilmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, sonucunda sosyal inovasyon koşul ve etkenlerini, sosyal, çevresel ve ekonomik sorunların belirlediği, çok çeşitli aktör ve paydaş tarafından uygulamaya konulan ve amacın sadece sosyal sorunları mevcutlara göre daha etkili ve verimli çözmek olduğu, bunun sonucunda da arzulanan sistemli sosyal değişimin yaşandığı bir süreç olarak tanımlanmıştır.
