Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the 21st century skills of young individuals who are university students in terms of active sports and other different variables. In the research, the relational scanning model was used. The research group was determined using the appropriate sampling method, one of the random sampling methods. This group consists of 244 volunteers, 116 of which are female, 128 of which are male, from five different faculties of Nigde Omer Halisdemir University (Faculty of Sport Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Literature). Survey method was used as a data collection tool. The questionnaire consists of two parts. In the first part, the personal information form was used, and in the second part, the Multidimensional 21st Century Skills Scale developed by Çevik and Şentürk (2019) was used. According to the findings, when the relationship between students' gender and 21st century skills was examined, it was seen that males were better than females in critical thinking and problem solving skills. When the active sports situations and 21st century skills were evaluated, it was concluded that individuals who do not do active sports in entrepreneurship and innovation skills and social responsibility and leadership skills are better than those who do active sports. In addition, as individuals' personal expenditure amounts increased, their critical thinking and problem solving skills increased. Besides it was found that information and technology literacy skills and social responsibility and leadership skills decrease as the age gets older.
