Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be structured under the following main sections:

  • Abstract and Keywords
    • Each article must include abstracts in both Turkish and English (250–300 words each).
    • The abstract in the original language of the article should appear first, followed by the second-language abstract.
    • Each abstract should start on a separate page, and the main text should begin on a new page after the abstracts.
    • Abstracts must be structured and include the following subheadings:
    • Introduction, Aim, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and Recommendations.
    • Each abstract must be followed by 3–5 keywords, selected from Türkiye Bilim Terimleri (TBT) and MeSH (Medical Subject Headings).
  • Introduction
    • This section should summarize the scientific background of the study, relevant current literature, and the context based on previous findings.
    • It should clearly identify the research gap, the rationale for the study, and the potential contribution to the field.
    • The objective or hypotheses of the study should not be included in this section.
  • Aim
    • The main aim and any sub-aims of the research should be stated clearly.
    • Research questions and hypotheses should be explicitly described in this section.
  • Materials and Methods
    • This section should describe the study design, population and sample, data collection tools, data collection process, and statistical analysis in detail.
    • At the end of this section, two subheadings should be provided:
    • Ethical Considerations:
Ethics approval must be presented anonymously (blinded) in the text.
      • In cases requiring informed consent, this must be stated clearly.
    • Limitations of the Study:
      • Any methodological or practical limitations should be defined explicitly.
  • Results
    • Results should be presented clearly, concisely, and systematically, using tables and figures when appropriate.
    • Information provided in tables or figures should not be repeated verbatim in the text.
    • Statistical results should be accurately reported and relevant to the study objectives.
  • Discussion
    • Findings should be discussed in relation to the existing literature, highlighting the study’s strengths and limitations.
    • Similarities and differences with previous studies should be explained based on scientific reasoning.
    • The discussion should follow the logical order of results and avoid repeating findings directly.
  • Conclusion and Recommendations
    • This section should briefly summarize the main results, contributions, and practical implications of the study.
    • Conclusions should highlight the relevance of the findings and their potential impact on related fields.
  • References
    • References must be formatted according to the APA 7th edition guidelines.
    • The reference list should be alphabetical by author surname and not numbered.
