The Journal of Communication and Diplomacy is a peer-reviewed, open-access, and free academic periodical published by the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye. Published twice a year, in July and December, the Journal aims to contribute to the academic field by disseminating high-quality national and international research in the areas of communication, media, political communication, political science, urban studies, public administration, public diplomacy, and international relations.

CALL FOR PAPERS — SPECIAL ISSUE

The theme of the special issue of the Journal of Communication and Diplomacy, to be published in May 2026, is “Gastrodiplomacy.” Manuscripts are invited on the following topics and related areas:

Gastrodiplomacy, Culinary Diplomacy, Food Diplomacy

Public Diplomacy and Gastrodiplomacy

UNESCO Creative Cities Network and Gastrodiplomacy

Cittaslow (Slow City) and Gastrodiplomacy

Geographical Indications, Gastronomy, and Nation Branding

UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists and Gastrodiplomacy

Cultural Industries and Gastrodiplomacy

Practices of Gastrodiplomacy in Türkiye and Around the World


Beginning in 2026, all manuscripts submitted to the Journal must be prepared using a reference management tool such as Zotero, EndNote, Mendeley, or the built-in citation manager in Microsoft Word. Submissions not prepared with a reference management tool will be returned to the author.
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal must be prepared in accordance with the "Article Publication and Writing Guidelines" and uploaded to the system together with the "Copyright Transfer Form", "Similarity Report" and "Ethics Committee Approval Document".
