Öğretmenlerin Emeklilik Dönemine ve Emekliliğe Hazırlık Eğitimine İlişkin Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, emekliliği yaklaşmış veya hali hazırda emekli olabilecek öğretmenlerin, emekliliğe bakışlarını, emekliliğe hazırlık durumlarını, emeklilik sonrası ihtiyaçlarını belirlemek ve “emekliliğe hazırlık eğitimi”ne ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Görüşme formları emekliliği yaklaşmış ya da emekliliği hak etmiş 22 öğretmene uygulanmıştır. Veri analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar, öğretmenlerin emekliliği; bir fırsat, başlangıç, bitiş, kendine ve aileye vakit ayırma ve muhasebe dönemi olarak gördüğünü göstermiştir. Öğretmenlerin çoğunluğunun emeklilik dönemine ilişkin herhangi bir plan ve hazırlıkları olmadığı görülmüştür. Planı olanlar ise bunları; kendine ve aileye vakit ayırma, iş kurma ve sosyal sorumluluk projelerine katılma olarak ifade etmiştir. Emekliliğe ilişkin ihtiyaçlar konusunda finansal ihtiyaçlar ön plandadır. Öğretmenler, “Emekliliğe hazırlık eğitimi programı”na ilişkin olumlu görüş bildirmişlerdir. Öğretmenlerin çoğu, emekliliğe hazırlık eğitimi programına katılabileceklerini, böyle bir eğitimin emeklilik dönemlerini kolaylaştırabileceğini ifade etmiştir

Teachers\' Views About Retirement and Pre-retirement Training

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the teachers’ views about retirement, their needs in the postretirement
process and readiness levels for retirement and also to determine their opinions about pre-retirement
training programme. Twenty-two teachers who are near retirement or entitled to retirement, but not retired,
participated in this study. Data were obtained by a semi-structured interview form. In data analysis process,
content analysis method was used. Results showed that some teachers perceive retirement as an opportunity and
a new start, but some others consider it as an end in their lives. Most teachers have no plans for retirement.
Teachers who have plans are planning to spend more time with their family, to set up a business, or to take part
in social projects. Economic needs are the most important ones in the post-retiremet period. Most teachers like
the idea of pre-retirement training programme and are willing to participate it.
