Abstract
While the emergence of the pandemic process directly or indirectly affects almost every aspect of life, especially the family, which is the core of the social structure, has been greatly affected by this process. The disruption of the family routine has both changed the attitude of the parents and had various effects on the children. Considering the effect of the epidemic on parents and children, this study aimed to evaluate the Covid-19 epidemic process in terms of parental attitudes in the family and emotional and behavioral conditions in children. The research is a qualitative study consisting of two stages. In the first stage, the interview form prepared by the researchers was filled by the parents, and in the second stage, the semi-structured questions asked to the parents were answered. In the interview form, there are questions about demographic information, parental attitudes, and emotional and behavioral situations in children. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the epidemic process; affected parental attitudes and family relations, had effects on different developmental areas of children, increased conflict in family relations, and created emotional and behavioral problems in children.
