CERRAHİ KLİNİKLERDE ÇALIŞAN HEMŞİRELERDE İŞ STRESİNİN BAKIM DAVRANIŞLARINA ETKİSİ

Abstract

Araştırma, cerrahi kliniklerde çalışan hemşirelerde iş stresinin bakım davranışlarına etkisini incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı desende olan, araştırma cerrahi kliniklerde çalışan 447 hemşire ile yürütüldü. Veri toplama aracı olarak “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Hemşire İş Stres Ölçeği” ve “Bakım Davranışları Ölçeği-24” çevrimiçi olarak uygulandı. Verilerin normallik dağılımını değerlendirmek için Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normallik Testi uygulandı. Veriler normal dağılmadığı için; değişkenler arası farklılıkları saptamak amacıyla ikili gruplarda Mann Whitney-U Testi, üç ve üzeri gruplarda Kruskal Wallis H Testi ve ölçekler arası ilişki durumunu tespit etmek için Spearman Rank korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Araştırmada yer alan hemşirelerin %60.4’ü kadın, %67.3’ü lisans mezunu ve % 64.0’ünün mesleki deneyimi 0-5 yıldır. Hemşire İş Stres Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları 73.97±14.361 (Ölçek Puanı:34-136), Bakım Davranışları Ölçeği-24 toplam puan ortalamaları 5.07±775 (Ölçek Puanı:1-6) olarak tespit edildi. İki ölçeğin toplam puan ortalamaları arasında negatif yönde düşük düzeyde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulundu [r(447)= -.193; p<.05]. Çalışmada hemşirelerin iş streslerinin orta düzeyde, bakım davranışlarının yüksek düzeyde olduğu, iş stresinin bakım kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkilediği söylenebilir.

The Effect of Job Stress on Care Behaviors of Nurses Working in Surgery Clinics

Abstract

The research was carried out in order to examine the effect of job stress on care behaviors of nurses working in surgical clinics. The descriptive and correlational type research was conducted with 447 nurses working in surgical clinics. “Personal Information Form”, “Nurse Work Stress Scale (NSS)” and “Caring Behavior Scale-24 (CBI-24)” were applied online as data collection tools. Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test was applied to evaluate the normality distribution of the data. Since the data were not normally distributed, in order to determine differences in variables; Mann Whitney-U Test was used in dual groups, Kruskal Wallis H Test was used in three or more groups, and Spearman Rank correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between scales. Among the nurses in the study, 60.4% were female, 67.3% were bachelor's degree graduates and 64.0% had 0-5 years of professional experience. 25.3% of the nurses were working in the general surgery clinic and 59.5% wanted to continue working in the surgical clinic. The mean total score of nurses' “Nurse Work Stress Scale” has been determined as 73.97±14.361 (Scale Score:34-136) , and the mean total score of CBI-24 has been determined as 5.07±.775 (Scale Score:1-6). A negative and low-level significant correlation has been found between the total score averages of the two scales [r(447)= .193; p<.05]. In the study, it can be said that nurses' work stress was at a moderate level, care behaviours were at a high level, and work stress negatively affected the quality of care.
