Acts Contrary to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics
The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical research and publication practices. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, salami slicing, and unjust authorship are considered serious ethical violations. The use of others’ ideas, methods, data, visuals, or texts without proper citation is strictly prohibited. The fabrication or manipulation of research data, or the distortion of findings to serve personal or institutional interests, constitutes a breach of ethical standards.
All alleged ethical violations are evaluated and addressed in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Appeals, Complaints, and Ethical Violation Reports
Appeals and complaints regarding published articles or editorial processes are handled in accordance with the principles of confidentiality and fairness. Readers, authors, and reviewers may report suspected ethical violations through the journal’s official communication channels. All reports are examined impartially, and when necessary, appropriate actions such as correction, retraction, or public notification are taken.
Ethics Committee Approval
Ethics committee approval is mandatory for research involving human participants, including studies conducted through surveys, interviews, observations, or similar data collection methods, as well as research involving the processing of personal data. The name of the ethics committee, approval date, and approval number must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
In accordance with TR Dizin regulations, studies lacking required ethics approval will not be considered for evaluation.
Research Ethics Principles
İNSANAT adopts integrity, transparency, and academic accountability as fundamental principles of research ethics. Participants must provide informed consent, and voluntary participation must be ensured. The confidentiality of personal data must be protected at all stages of the research process. Research must be conducted independently, and any potential conflicts of interest must be openly disclosed. Authors bear full responsibility for ensuring that their work complies with ethical standards.
Publication Ethics Principles
If minor errors are identified in a published article, a correction may be issued. In cases of serious violations that compromise the validity of findings, the article may be retracted. When necessary, editors may publish an expression of concern. These processes are carried out in accordance with internationally recognized ethical standards and COPE recommendations.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. The similarity rate is expected to remain within acceptable limits. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism are rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, corrective or retraction procedures are initiated, and the relevant institutions may be informed when appropriate.
Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
The journal is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of all published works. Necessary measures are taken to prevent violations of third-party rights, and ethical and legal procedures are followed in cases of infringement.
Protection of Personal Data
All personal data submitted to the journal are processed and protected in accordance with applicable legislation. Information obtained during editorial processes is used solely for evaluation purposes and is not shared with third parties.
Conflict of Interest and Financial Support
Authors are required to disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence their work. All sources of financial support must be clearly stated in the manuscript. Transparency in potential conflicts of interest is considered essential for maintaining academic integrity.
Changes in Authorship
Requests for changes in authorship are considered only before the manuscript is accepted for publication. The author list and order provided at submission are taken as final unless a justified request for modification is submitted prior to acceptance.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
The use of artificial intelligence tools for supportive purposes, such as language editing or literature assistance, is permissible. However, the use of AI for generating fabricated data, manipulating results, or producing unethical content is strictly prohibited. Any use of AI must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript, and the ultimate responsibility rests entirely with the authors.
