STRESTEN TATMİNE: İŞ TATMİNİ ÜZERİNDE BOŞ ZAMAN TATMİNİNİN KORUYUCU ROLÜ

Abstract

Bu araştırma, banka çalışanları arasında algılanan iş stresi ile iş doyumu arasındaki ilişkide boş zaman tatmininin aracı rolünü incelemektedir. Stresin tamponlayıcı etkisini temel alan kuramsal çerçevede, boş zaman etkinliklerinden elde edilen olumlu deneyimlerin iş stresi üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri azaltıp azaltmadığı araştırılmıştır. Nicel yöntemle yürütülen çalışmada, algılanan iş stresi, boş zaman tatmini ve iş doyumunu ölçmek amacıyla geçerliği sağlanmış ölçekler kullanılarak 286 banka çalışanından veri toplanmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki doğrudan ve dolaylı etkileri test etmek için yapısal eşitlik modellemesi uygulanmıştır. Bulgular, algılanan iş stresinin iş doyumunu olumsuz etkilediğini; boş zaman tatmininin ise iş doyumu üzerinde anlamlı bir olumlu etkisinin bulunduğunu ve bu ilişkide kısmi aracılık rolü oynadığını göstermiştir. Ayrıca, gönüllü olarak katılan 30 kişilik bir alt örneklemle sekiz hafta süren dans temelli rekreatif bir müdahale programı yürütülmüştür. Müdahale öncesi ve sonrası yapılan karşılaştırmalar, iş doyumunda sınırlı düzeyde artışlar ve iş stresinde azalmalar olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu sonuçlar, yapılandırılmış boş zaman etkinliklerinin yoğun stres altında çalışan bireylerin psikolojik dayanıklılıklarını artırmada etkili bir araç olabileceğini göstermekte ve kurumsal iyi oluş stratejilerine boş zaman temelli yaklaşımların entegre edilmesinin önemine dikkat çekmektedir.

From Stress to Satısfactıon: The Protectıve Role of Leısure Satısfactıon on Job Satısfactıon

Abstract

This research explores how leisure satisfaction functions as a mediating factor between perceived job stress and job satisfaction among bank employees. Grounded in the stress-buffering framework, the study examines whether positive experiences derived from leisure can alleviate the negative impact of workplace stress on employees’ psychological well-being. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, data were collected from 286 banking professionals through validated self-report scales assessing perceived job stress, leisure satisfaction, and job satisfaction. Structural equation modeling was applied to analyze both direct and mediated effects among the constructs. The analysis revealed that perceived job stress negatively influenced job satisfaction, whereas leisure satisfaction was positively associated with job satisfaction and served as a partial mediator in the overall model. Additionally, an eight-week dance-based recreational program was implemented with a voluntary subsample of 30 participants. Pre- and post-intervention comparisons showed slight increases in job satisfaction and decreases in perceived stress levels, suggesting that structured leisure initiatives may enhance psychological resilience in demanding work settings. The findings underscore the potential value of incorporating leisure-oriented strategies into organizational well-being initiatives and offer empirical support for a more holistic perspective on workforce development.
