The study aims at finding out the students' attitude
towards physical education classes in secondary schools corresponding with the
positive teacher-student relationships. As the sample survey, totally 326
students, 173 girls and 153 boys, who are eight graders from 6 public schools
in Konya, Selçuklu during 2018-2019 academic year have taken a questionnaire
with 100% face to face meeting method. As a result, it is understood that the
student’s relationship with their physical education teachers is generally
positive. The analysis proved that positive teacher-student relationship
enhances the students' positive attitude towards physical education classes.
Moreover, when the teachers' gender is considered, it is determined that the
students tend to have better relationship with female teachers rather than male
teachers. On the other hand, It is decided that the gender and economical level
of the students do not contribute to the statistical data.
