Onuncu Yılında Birleşmiş Milletler Engelli Kişilerin İnsan Hakları Sözleşmesi ve Sözleşme Ruhu

Year 2016, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 219 - 246, 13.07.2016

Abstract

The un Convention on Rights of Persons With Disabilities in a Decade and The Sprit of The Convention

Year 2016, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 219 - 246, 13.07.2016

Abstract

This study aims to display the brief evaluation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which has been adopted by the UN General Assembly for almost a decade ago, and to demonstrate the current stage reached regarding the human rights of persons with disabilities in line with the Convention. Since it is at most importance to emphasize those key principles which provide the distinct feature of the Convention which is phrased as a “paradigm shift”; the purpose of the study is to touch on these leading principles which could be identified as the soul of the Convention and to see how these principles are interpreted and realized through the Convention text, articles and practice
