International Review of Migration and Refugee Studies

International Review of Migration and Refugee Studies is a peer-reviewed, online international academic journal focusing on all aspects of human mobility. Managed by an interdisciplinary editorial board and supported by expert academics, the journal prioritises theoretical, methodological and comparative approaches to the phenomenon of migration.
The journal publishes original research on labour migration, forced migration, displacement, diaspora, transnational identities and other forms of mobility. It also includes studies on all stages of the migration cycle - origin, transit, destination, return and reintegration.
International Review of Migration and Refugee Studies is open to contributions from researchers from different fields of social sciences (sociology, education, demography, law, social work, health, political science, economics, geography, etc.) and encourages geographical diversity and multidisciplinary analyses. In addition to full-text articles, the journal also includes book reviews and special issue proposals focusing on specific themes.

Our journal was established in 2020 under the Migration Institute of Gaziantep University and started to be published by the Migration Institute. ‘International Journal of Migration and Refugee Studies’ is published online with an annual issue frequency and open access.
