Submission and General Requirements
Manuscripts submitted to the ITU Journal of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering must be original, scientifically rigorous, and within the aims and scope of the journal. Submitted work must not have been previously published and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts must be written in clear and professional English. Authors are responsible for the accuracy, clarity, and linguistic quality of their submissions.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared using the journal’s current article template and should normally include the following components, where applicable:
• Title
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Related work or literature review, where appropriate
• Materials and methods / methodology
• Results
• Discussion
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgements, where applicable
• Funding information
• Conflict of interest declaration
• Author contributions
• Data availability statement, where applicable
• Ethical approval and informed consent statements, where applicable

The abstract should be self-contained and normally between 150 and 250 words. It should clearly describe the objective, methodology, principal findings, and main contribution of the study.
Authors should provide appropriate keywords that accurately represent the scientific content of the manuscript.
Figures, tables, algorithms, and equations must be numbered consistently, cited in the text, and presented with sufficient quality for scientific evaluation and publication.
References
References must be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted according to the journal’s citation style. Authors are responsible for verifying all bibliographic information and ensuring that each reference cited in the text appears in the reference list and vice versa.
Peer Review
Manuscripts passing the initial editorial assessment are subjected to peer review by experts in the relevant field. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process. Authors must therefore remove names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and any other information that may directly reveal their identities from the manuscript submitted for review.
Research and Publication Ethics
Authors are responsible for complying with internationally accepted principles of research and publication ethics. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, manipulation of citations or peer review, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.
Where ethical approval, informed consent, institutional permission, or other legal or regulatory authorization is required, the relevant information must be clearly reported in the manuscript.
Artificial Intelligence and AI-Assisted Technologies
Artificial intelligence or AI-assisted technologies may not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and appropriate attribution of all submitted content. Where generative AI or similar tools have been used in a manner that materially contributed to manuscript preparation, analysis, coding, image generation, or other scholarly content, such use must be transparently disclosed in accordance with the journal’s policy.
Submission
All submissions and editorial correspondence are handled electronically through the DergiPark platform. Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors have approved the submitted version and agree with its consideration by the journal.
