Journal of Izmir Faculty of Medicine (J Izmir Faculty Med.) started its publication life in 2022 and is an open access journal which is the permanent publication of Health Sciences University Turkey, Izmir Faculty of Medicine.

Our journal, which publishes four issues a year, in March, June, September and December, aims to publish scientific studies such as research articles, case reports, letters to the editor, compilations, video presentations on every field of medicine, provided that they have not been published elsewhere before. The submitted papers are first subjected to an objective preliminary evaluation with an editorial evaluation. Studies that pass the editorial evaluation are forwarded to the assistant editors of the department, where they are subjected to double-blind peer-review evaluation by at least two referees. In addition, it is confirmed that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism through the "iThenticate" program used in plagiarism detection. This scan is free of charge. At the last stage, the studies that pass the control of the Language Advisor and the Statistics Advisor are accepted for publication when they are evaluated as "publishable".

Journal of Izmir Faculty of Medicine is a national/international journal dedicated to the latest developments in medicine. The aim of this journal is to contribute to the literature in the field of medicine, to provide a common platform for scientists and academics around the world, to encourage the publication, share and discuss various new issues and developments in different fields of medicine.

Journal of Izmir Faculty of Medicine is a peer-reviewed open access national/international journal that publishes clinical and experimental research in all fields of medicine, case reports and clinical images, letters to the editor, reviews and video presentations. Our journal is the official publication of Health Sciences University Turkey, Izmir Faculty of Medicine and is published digitally four times a year, in March, June, September and December. The language of the journal is Turkish and English.

Our journal will accept scientific studies such as research articles, case reports, letters to the editor, reviews, video presentations on all fields of medicine, provided that they have not been published elsewhere before. It will be published in our journal if it is reviewed by two advisors (double-blind) and necessary changes are made and approved for publication. The editor-in-chief has the final word on whether or not the manuscripts accepted by the peer-review are published and when they are published. In addition, an additional issue may be issued for the publication of the papers presented in the congresses and symposiums to be held within our university.

Journal of Izmir Faculty of Medicine does not accept more than one application and multiple applications, even if another one is published in a different language. The authors are responsible for the scientific content of the material to be published. Journal of Izmir Faculty of Medicine reserves the right to request the research materials on which the article is based.

Journal of Izmir Faculty of Medicine is a newly established journal that is in the process of restructuring. Our journal is planning to make index applications in a short time with its strong editorial and referee staff. All articles are also available in PDF format on our website and can be downloaded for free.

Our journal will not charge any fee under the name of article submission or processing fee.
