Born in Aleppo - Syria 1979, Architect since 2002, master in Architecture 2004, master in civil engineering 2006, Phd in Cultural Heritage from Politecnico di Torino, Italy 2011. Worked as architect/ Engineer in different countries, designed and constructed many buildings in Syria and outside, winning design competitions.
Academically, worked in Aleppo University, Faculty of Architecture from 2011-2015, published many researches and books and chapters in Arabic, English and Italian languages. Forced to leave his country, worked in Universidad de Cantabria- Santander – Spain, Sapienza University of Rome- Italy, before moving to work as associate professor in Ankara yildirim Beyazit University, architecture and fine arts faculty- Turkey.
His Research fields include Emergency Architecture for Humanity, Post war/disaster recovery and development, rural areas development and the management of cultural heritage for post crisis recovery.
Ahmet Emre Dinçer, 2005 yılında İTÜ Mimarlık Bölümü'nden mezun olmuştur. İTÜ Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü'nden 2008 ve 2014 yıllarında yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini almıştır. 2014'te yardımcı doçent (dr öğretim üyesi), 2023'te doçent unvanlarını almıştir. 2005-2009 yılları arasında özel sektörde iken, 2009-2023 yılları arasında Karabük Üniversitesinde araştırma görevlisi ve dr öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmıştır. Şubat 2023'ten beri AYBÜ'de görev yapmaktadır. Başlıca araştırma alanları mimari tasarım hesaplama, mimari tasarım ve bina tasarımıdır.
Emanuele Morezzi, architect PhD, is Associate Professor of Architectural Restoration and Preservation at the Department of Architecture and Design, Politecnico di Torino. He earned a Doctorate in Cultural Heritage (2008), he is a professor in Theory of Restoration courses and in the design studios of the Bachelor and Master's degree courses in Architecture. He is a member of the board of the Doctorate in Architectural and Landscape Heritage of the Polytechnic of Turin and a member of SIRA, Italian Society for Architectural Restoration. He has been a visiting professor in foreign universities and member of scientific and editorial committees. His scientific research concerns the history and theory of restoration, the conservation of ruins, and architectural and archaeological heritage protection.
Since 2015, she has served as ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR S.S.D. ICAR 17 DESIGN at the Faculty of Architecture of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria.
Since 2023, she has been Scientific Director of the Tech4You research group - Pilot Project CRC@calabria.net - On-site dissemination of the monumental heritage of the Calabrian Coast (SPOKE 4 GOAL 5 PP 3) OR 4.5 Sustainable Valorization and Accessibility of Cultural Heritage
In 2023, she obtained the Band I qualification for the Competition Sector 08/E1 DESIGN.
In 2023, she was funded, as PI, for the PRIN PNRR 2022 project No. P2022WZH9J, BYZANTINE CULTURAL ROUTES between tangible and intangible.
Since 2023, he has been the Department of Art's Delegate for Research and Third Mission.
He is the author of several publications on Mediterranean architecture: surveys and documentation of spontaneous architecture in the Strait of Messina region, Sicily and Calabria; and in the Maghreb, Tunisia, Morocco, and Jordan.
He has addressed the issues of graphic design and communication for the valorization of architectural heritage. He is the author of numerous publications on Eastern-style architecture in southern Italy and eastern Greece.
He is the supervisor and co-supervisor of several master's and doctoral theses on the topics of architecture and the Mediterranean city.
He participates in national and international research, seminars, and workshops. He has coordinated survey campaigns conducted in Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, and Greece.
Rodrigo Coelho (1971) is graduated in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and holds a Master in Architecture and Urban Studies from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (Master Metropolis) and a Ph.D from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto.
He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto and former Deputy Director of the Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies CEAU-FAUP (2013 - 2018) where he develops, as an integrated member, research on the subject of public space. Since 1994 he has an independent professional activity as an architect.
İhsan TOKTAŞ completed his undergraduate studies at Gazi University, Department of Mechanical Education, in the Design and Construction Education Program. He received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Gazi University, Institute of Science, in the Department of Mechanical Education.
Between 1993 and 2009, he worked as a research assistant; from 2009 to 2012, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Education, Division of Technical Drawing and Machine Design, at Gazi University, Faculty of Technical Education. From 2012 to 2019, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, and between 2019 and 2021, he served as an Associate Professor. Since 2021, he has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Design at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. He has also worked as a visiting researcher at Syracuse University (New York, USA) and the University of Bedfordshire (London, UK).
İhsan TOKTAŞ conducts research in the areas of Industrial Design, Machine Design, Mechanisms, Gears, Finite Element Analysis, Conceptual Design, Computer-Aided Design, Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Biomechanics, Product Design, Geometric Patterns from the Anatolian Seljuk and Early Ottoman Periods.
He currently serves as the Director of the Distance Education Application and Research Center and the Continuing Education Center. He is also the Head of the Department and Division of Industrial Design and acts as the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts.
She graduated (110/110) in Architecture from the University of Catania – School of Architecture in Siracusa in 2016, with a thesis titled NO_MAD ASSE. Urban Dispersion in the Northwestern Settlements of the Comunidad de Madrid. She continued her education with a Post graduate Master’s Degree (II level) in Urban Regeneration and Social Innovation (U-RISE) at IUAV University of Venice (2018), completing her studies with highest honors.
In 2018, she was awarded a PhD scholarship in Architecture and Territory at the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, earning her doctoral degree in 2022 (SSD ICAR/17 – Drawing). She has since collaborated in academic activities as tutor and teaching assistant in various programs, including the Open City International Summer School and undergraduate courses in Design.
In 2024, she was appointed Research Fellow in the national PRIN PNRR project BYZANTINE CULTURAL ROUTES between tangible and intangible (PI: Prof. Marinella Arena), and as Erasmus+ staff member from the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, she carried out teaching activities at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in Turkey. In 2025 she received a new research grant within the Tech4You Innovation Ecosystem focused on geoprocessing techniques and digital twins for urban planning and climate change.
Her research explores Mediterranean architecture, urban morphology, heritage documentation, and graphic communication for cultural promotion.
