Contralateral Hyperhidrosis After Hemorrhagic Cerebrovascular Disease: A Case Report

Year 2024, , 84 - 87, 16.08.2024
https://doi.org/10.55694/jamer.1402369

Abstract

Hyperhidrosis is the excessive sweating caused by overactive sweat glands. It impacts individuals’ quality of life, leading to
skin infections, social anxiety disorders, and challenges in caring for patients. Hyperhidrosis can be primary or secondary,
with secondary cases linked to cerebrovascular diseases (CVD). This case study describes a 70-year-old male patient with
hemorrhagic CVD and hyperhidrosis. His hyperhidrosis, which began 18 months after the CVD diagnosis, showed improvement
with gabapentin treatment.

Hemorajik Serebrovasküler Hastalık Sonrası Kontralateral Hiperhidrozis: Vaka Sunumu

Year 2024, , 84 - 87, 16.08.2024
https://doi.org/10.55694/jamer.1402369
