4. Technical Infrastructure and OAI-PMH

JASAM provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This declaration has been recorded through the signing of the Budapest Open Access Declaration by Erciyes University at the publisher level.

The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) allows for the efficient exchange of metadata. Choosing appropriate software (OAI-PMH compliant) to meet the conditions of international promotion and inclusion in international open archives is one of the most important issues in establishing an institutional repository project. The main purpose of OAI-PMH is to provide access to academic archives all over the world via a web interface by providing free access to metadata.

In this respect, our journal supports the OAI-PMH protocol. All published content and data are open to access by external indices in Dublin Core format.
