It is possible to summarize the historical process of television broadcasting in Turkey in three separate sections: Public broadcasting, private televisions and the digital process experienced today. While the responsibility of informing the public was at the forefront in the period of public broadcasting, entertainment programs, sensational journalism, as well as tabloidization of outgoing news became the style that determined this period with the emergence of private television channels. The invasion operation launched by Russia on Ukraine on 24.02.2022 offers examples of tabloidization of the news in the main news bulletins. The premise of this study is that when it comes to news that affects the public, the framing of the news in public broadcasting and private broadcasting is different from each other. Today, when digitalization has come to the fore, news value has changed and tabloidization has increased. The change in news value and increasing tabloidization with digitalization is a case that allows research, questioning and making scientific inferences. Show TV, FOX TV and TRT 1 main news bulletins were subjected to a qualitative content analysis and it was concluded that digitalization also caused a change in news value. It has been determined that private televisions do not give up tabloid journalism even in periods of extraordinary developments, and tabloid news are less preferred in public broadcasting. It has been seen that digitalization accelerates the production of content such as fight, conflict, exploitation, entertainment and abuse, and citizens also contribute to tabloidization with the introduction of citizen journalism.
