The Family From the Perspective of the Virtue Value Action Framework

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to deal with the family issue on the basis of the "Virtue-Value-Action Framework" within the scope of the and evaluate it with the example of the Life Studies Curriculum. The research was carried out using document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods, and the data sources were the common text of the "Türkiye Century Education Model" curriculum programs and the Life Sciences Course Curriculum. The data were analyzed by content analysis. According to the findings, it was seen that the family was defined as the basic unit of society in the model, the importance of protecting and strengthening family values was emphasized, and it played a central role in the emotional, cognitive and moral development of the individual. It has also been determined that the Virtue-Value-Action Framework is designed to guide the protection of family values by supporting the moral development of individuals. In the Life Studies Curriculum, which consists of six learning areas, the learning area "My Family and Society" was included, and within this framework a peaceful family and society was emphasized.
