Bu çalışmada ülkemizde üniversitelere bağlı faaliyet gösteren sürekli eğitim merkezlerinde gerçekleştirilen eğitimlerin içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda sürekli eğitim merkezlerinin resmi web sitelerinde yürütülen eğitimler incelenmiştir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemini kullanılmıştır. Veriler döküman incelemesi yoluyla elde edilmiş ve verilerin analizinde içerik analizinden faydalanılmıştır. Veriler iki farklı araştırmacı tarafından kodlanmış ve bu kodlardan temalar elde edilmiştir. Sürekli eğitim merkezlerinde yürütülen eğitimler incelenerek analizleri gerçekleştirilmiş ve analiz sonuçları bu bölümde başlıklar halinde sunulmuştur. Analiz sonuçlarına göre verilen eğitimler Mesleki Gelişim Eğitimleri, Kişisel Gelişim Eğitimleri, Akademik Gelişim Eğitimleri, Kültür ve Sanat Eğitimleri, Spor Eğitimleri ve Sınavlara Yönelik Hazırlık Eğitimleri olmak üzere altı başlık altında incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada devlet üniversiteleri bünyesinde faaliyet gösteren sürekli eğitim merkezlerinin eğitimleri incelenmiştir. Devlet üniversiteleriyle vakıf üniversitelerine bağlı sürekli eğitim merkezlerinin eğitimlerinin karşılaştırıldığı çalışmalar yürütülebilir.
The purpose of the study was to examine the training programs held in continuing education centers operating under universities in our country. In order to achieve this goal, training programs on the web sites of continuing education centers have been examined. Qualitative research method was used in this study as a research design. In this study, continuing education centers affiliated with public universities have been included. The number of continuing education centers within public universities that are members of Turkish Universities Continuing Education Centers Council in Turkey is 97. The official websites of continuing education centers have been examined, and those who did not provide details about the trainings performed on their websites were not included. The number of continuing education centers included in the study is 78 and the list of the continuing education centers were given in Table 17.
Because the program contents on the websites of the continuing education centers were examined in this study, the data in the study were obtained through document analysis. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data collected in the study. The themes were obtained by coding the program contents obtained from the websites of the continuing education centers and presented in the Findings section. Coding categories were developed by reading through the data and creating pattern codes. After coding all the relevant data, codes were grouped into themes. During this process, both researchers independently read and analyzed data and then continuously cross-checked codes and themes. The reliability of the codes which are constituted by two researchers is calculated as 0,91.
As a result of the analysis, it was seen that training programs consist of six main titles which were Professional Development Programs, Personal Development Programs, Academic Development Programs, Arts and Culture Programs, Sports Programs, Preparation Programs for Exams. It was seen that most of the trainings carried out in continuing education centers are on professional development training. professional development programs. After the analysis it was revealed that professional development trainings consist of 11 titles: Psychology and Pedagogy Programs, Education Programs, Agriculture, Food and Livestock Programs, Environment and Landscape Programs, Structure and Design Programs, Safety and health Programs, Technical Programs, Business, Politics and Marketing Programs, Information Technologies Programs, Law Programs and Health Programs.
The title with the highest frequency was the Business, Politics and Marketing title and the most remarkable and most repeated codes under this title were digital marketing, logistics, entrepreneurship, data mining and big data. Another high frequency title was Information Technologies Programs which included coding, software and cyber security codes. In the Professional Development Programs title, elocution, effective communication, and drama were most repeated codes. The last high frequency title was Arts and culture programs.
In this study, the training programs of continuing education centers operating under public universities were examined. Studies comparing the programs of continuing education centers affiliated with public universities and private universities can be conducted.
