Designing two dimensional materials have an important part for effective way of learning. Such teaching instructions need to be made in line with some principles and elements. Coloring known as one of the fundamentals of these elements is used for emhasizing the visual materials during the process of instructional design. Coloring the visual materials can be a useful stategy for both publishing books and integrating the digital technologies to the instructional designations. Powerpoint (PPT) is digital platform of the practicing of such technology. Presentations prepared by the use of coloring support to participants and listeners summarising the abstract concepts connecting the contents using pictures, figures and tables. In this study it is aimed at determining the candidate teachers’ practicing on how they use coloring in their PPT slides. A documentary research was made on the 110 of PPT presentations prepared by candidate teachers at part of the mis-use of coloring in related slides. A qualitative technique called as content alysis was used to analyse the analysing unit. It is known that a qualitative research focuses on to categorize the various data about a concept. Some studies from natural through social ones can be mainly based on this technique. Such technique used for investigating the written data is one of these applications. It has an important place in studies about social, historical and cultural studies and largely used as a qualitative design process in educational researches as well. The content analysis of slides carried out by candidate teachers were prepared for a microteaching presentation aiming at practicing their studies. They were used advices for the PPT presentation in the related courses. They were all handled a topic in thier slides taking care of the mentioned principles and elements. For validity and reliability of the categories, the analysing process were repeated after three months later than the first analysing process. An expert opinion was collected on the categories of the researcher. The problematic structure of the study was descripted in line with the literature. The steps of this documentary study was clearly described and cited. After these validity and reliability checking processes, the researcher made a final decsion on the categories. With the evaluation of the data obtained from the PPT slides of candidate teachers, it is understood that they used red coloring for the purpose of emphasizing whereas it is clear that such emphasizing have no importance as they have preferred to lots of words in each slides. Some of them were underlined the important terms with black. They used blue or dark blue for this aim instead of red coloring in some PPT slides. They used closed colors to separate the important terms and sentences such as black and grey. Therefore, they could not prepared PPT slides for effective and meaningful learning as they used bold black for emphasizing on the related words. As an additional result, they also used slides with black colored and writtings with grey or blue. As the usage of colors in slides without taking care of effective way of learning, such PPT presentations have lots of mis-use of coloring during the preparation of such teaching instructions. The candidate teachers and lecturers of teacher education processes need additional practices on preperation to PPT slides. Since they used coloring factors on slides incorrectly, integrating one of the digital technologies called as PPT presentation and instructional designs cannot be possible for effective way of learning. Using slides in large classrooms or conference halls provides the lecturers sufficient visualisations for abstract content. For this reason, lecturers and the teachers need to prepare the PPT slides in line with the principles and elements of such instructional design and digital technology. This interdisciplinary viewpoint on PPT presentations is an important situation at the part of participants mentioned above. Since such bachelor's degree students have some difficulties in practicing their ability on preparing PPT slides, lecturers need to encourage them to take participate in microteaching practices or oral presentations in conferences or classrooms using such two-dimensional materials which is a sample for an integration of digital technology and instructional designations. PPT presentations have some solutions to a problem mainly based on a summarising of a large abstract content enlarging the PPT slides with visual contents. Therefore, candidate teachers and lecturers of teacher education bachelores degree need to make additional practices on preparation and presentation principles of PPT slides.
