COMU Journal of Marine Sciences and Fisheries (COMU-JMSF) is an Open Access journal. The journal operates double-blind peer-review process and is published biannualy on July, and December. The journal does not charge article submission or processing fees.

COMU Journal of Marine Sciences and Fisheries (COMU-JMSF) publishes covering all aspects of marine sciences and fisheries including “biology, taxonomy, ecology, aquaculture, diseases, fisheries biology, fisheries management, fisheries economy, fishing technology, seafood processing, chemistry, microbiology, algal biotechnology, freshwater/brackish/marine environment and management, pollution, conservation and sustainability” in the form of original article, review, short communication and technical note

COMU-JMSF is published by the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, with two issues per year (July and December).

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial editorial screening. Two reviewers' opinions are obtained for each manuscript. Peer review and editorial correspondence are conducted throughout the publication process in accordance with the principles of confidentiality and transparency. The final decision regarding the publication of manuscripts is made by the editorial team, taking the reviewers' evaluations into consideration.

The journal does not charge article submission or processing fees. All authors/readers have free access to all papers.

Manuscripts that are submitted to COMU JMSF are meticulously examined for plagiarism using IThenticate; Plagiarism Detection Software.
