Kişi İş Uyumu (Person-Job Fit) Ölçeği’nin Türkçeye Uyarlanması

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Saks ve Ashforth (1997) tarafından geliştirilen Kişi-İş Uyumu Ölçeği’nin Türkçe’ye uyarlanmasını ve bu bağlamda ölçeğin psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Kişi-iş uyumu, bireyin bilgi, beceri ve yeteneklerinin işin gereksinimleriyle ne ölçüde örtüştüğünü değerlendiren; iş performansı, iş tatmini, örgütsel bağlılık ve çalışan refahı gibi olumlu iş yaşamı çıktılarıyla ilişkilendirilen kritik bir kavramdır. Bu kapsamda ölçeğin Türkçe’ye uyarlanması, Türkiye bağlamında kavramın güvenilir ve geçerli bir şekilde ölçülmesine katkı sağlayarak, akademik çalışmalar için önemli bir araç sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Çalışmanın uyarlama sürecinde, dilsel ve kültürel farklılıkları dikkate alarak çeviri ve geri çeviri yöntemleri uygulanmış, Türk kültürüne uygunluğun sağlanması adına uzman görüşleri alınarak kapsam geçerliliği değerlendirilmiştir. Psikometrik analizler sonucunda ölçeğin Türkçe versiyonunun hem geçerli hem de güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğu doğrulanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında ayrıca, ölçüt bağımlılığı analizleri ile cinsiyet eşitliğini değerlendiren analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uyarlama, Türkiye’de kişi-iş uyumu konusundaki araştırmaların yaygınlaşmasına ve bu kavramın daha derinlemesine anlaşılmasına önemli bir katkı sunmaktadır. Aynı zamanda, insan kaynakları yönetimi, örgütsel davranış ve psikoloji gibi alanlarda çalışan araştırmacılar ve uygulayıcılar için güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı sağlamaktadır.

Validation of the Person-Job Fit Scale to Turkish

Abstract

This study aims to adapt the Person-Job Fit Scale, originally developed by Saks and Ashforth (1997), into Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties. Person-job fit is a critical construct that evaluates the extent to which an individual's knowledge, skills, and abilities align with job requirements. It is closely associated with positive work-life outcomes such as job performance, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and employee well-being. Within this scope, the adaptation of the scale into Turkish seeks to provide a reliable and valid tool for measuring this construct in the Turkish context, contributing significantly to academic research. During the adaptation process, translation and back-translation methods were employed, considering linguistic and cultural differences. Expert opinions were also sought to assess content validity and ensure the scale's appropriateness for the Turkish culture. Psychometric analyses confirmed that the Turkish version of the scale is both a valid and reliable measurement instrument. Furthermore, the study included criterion-related validity analyses as well as analyses evaluating gender invariance. This adaptation makes a valuable contribution to advancing research on person-job fit in Turkey and fosters a deeper understanding of the construct. Additionally, it offers a robust measurement tool for researchers and practitioners in fields such as human resource management, organizational behavior, and psychology.
