(The Probable Effects of Global Warming and Ecological Footprint on Food and Beverage Sector)

Abstract

After the 1970s, advances in technology and industry have begun to destroy nature. As a result, problems such as diminishing of natural resources, global warming, changing of climates have become the compulsory subjects of human beings in recent years. The problems encountered have led to a distress in the health of the people and caused their right to live in a clean environment to disappear. The biologically fertile soil and water area required for providing production of consumed resources and absorbing the generated waste is called ecological footprint. With the increase of social and political pressures, the enterprises act with the aim of preventing environmental pollution and reducing ecological footprints. The purpose of this study is; by dealing with global warming, environmental problems and the possible effects of the ecological footprint on the food and beverage industry, environmentall y friendly consumers and environmentally friendly products, to emphasize the importance of ecological footprints in food and beverage businesses. For this purpose, by analyzing the concepts that constitute the problematic of working, it has been tried to reveal possible associations with each other
