Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Antibiyotik Kullanım Konusunda Tutum ve Davranışları

Abstract

Amaç: Araştırma, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin antibiyotik kullanımı konusunda tutum ve davranışlarını incelemek amacıyla yürütüldü.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesinde okuyan 966 öğrenci oluşturdu. Veriler Şubat-Mayıs 2017 tarihlerinde, kişisel bilgi formu, Antibiyotik Kullanımı Tutum ve Davranışları Anketi kullanılarak toplandı. Veriler tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve ki-kare testi ile değerlendirildi.
Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %13,5’i antibiyotiği doğru doz ve sürede kullanmadığını, %14,7’si hekim reçete ettiği halde antibiyotik kullanmadığını, %14,7’si hastalandığında hekimden antibiyotik reçetesi yazmasını istediğini, %5,5’i her hastalandığında evdeki antibiyotiği kullandığını bildirdi. Öğrencilerin bölümlerine göre; antibiyotiğin kullanma süresine dikkat etme, hekimin reçete ettiği antibiyotiği başka bir hekime danışma, antibiyotiğin prospektüsünü okuma, kullanma talimatına dikkat etme açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu (p<0,05).
Sonuç: Öğrencilerinin antibiyotik kullanımına yönelik yanlış tutum ve davranışları olduğu eğitimleri esnasında konunun daha dikkatli ele alınması gerektiği söylenebilir.

Health Sciences Faculty Students' Attitudes and Behaviors About Antibiotic Usage

Abstract

Objective: It was aimed to investigate attitudes and behaviors of Health Sciences Faculty students on antibiotic usage.
Material and Methods: The research sample consisted of 966 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The data were collected from February-May2017 with personal information form and the Antibiotic Usage Attitude and Behavior Questionnaire. The data was evaluated by descriptive statistics and chi-square test.
Results: It is found that, 13,5% not using antibiotic the correct dose and time, 14.7% not using antibiotics when prescribed by the physician, 5,5% using antibiotics in the home every time they get sick. According to the sections of the students; paying attention to the duration of antibiotic used, consultation another physician because of suspecting the antibiotic prescribed, reading the prospectus of antibiotic, paying attention to the instruction for antibiotic usage are found statistically significant difference between the groups(p<0.05).
Conclusion: Students have incorrect attitudes and behaviors about antibiotic usage and it can be said that they should be treated more carefully during their training.
