Globalization is multidimensional process that must be discussed in terms of economic, technological and political dimensions as well as its cultural implications. Concepts such as cultural imperialism and cultural commodification point to the integration of cultures with global markets and the fields of ideological struggle. This study focuses on changing market dynamics in the cinema sector in Turkey with globalization and activities of the national-international actors in the policy making process. In the study, conceptual framework on globalization is presented, national and international policies are discussed in relation to this process and problem areas releated to the cinema sector in Turkey are being investigated.As a result of the study, it has been determined that the change in the film production technology and the structural problems of the distribution-exhibition process are ignored. In additon, the need for an understanding that takes into account the structural changes in the film market within a broader global context and engages actors in the field with the policy making process has been emphasized.
