Writing Rules

The Journal of Research in Business welcomes manuscripts in English, German and Turkish. All manuscripts should be submitted via the journal website, https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/jrb. The authors of accepted manuscripts sign the Copyright Transfer Form and send it to the editorial board. The authors bear the responsibility for all statements made in their work submitted to the Journal for publication. The manuscripts for the journal should be prepared as follows:

1. Font Type 
All text should be written in Times New Romans font style in 12 font size and line spacing of 1.5. At the beginning of a paragraph, you should not use the tab key. 

2. Page Setup
The manuscripts should be in A4 paper standards: having 2.5 cm margins from right, left, bottom, and top. In addition, the number of pages should not exceed 40, including the abstract and references, and the page numbers must be at the bottom right side.

3. Author Details
The name(s) of the author(s) should be given just beneath the title of the study aligned to the right. Also the title, affiliation, e-mail, and ORCID ID of the author(s) must be indicated on the bottom of the page as a footnote marked with an asterisk (*).

4. Title and Abstract
Depending on the manuscript language, the following table should be taken into consideration. In addition, the abstracts are limited to 250 words and should contain the purpose, the scope, the methodology used, and key results in brief. 3 to 5 keywords should be specified and given under the abstracts.

5. Body Text
The manuscripts should contain mainly title(s), abstract(s) and keywords body text with sections, references, and appendices. It should be noted that manuscripts written in Turkish should have an extended summary in English.

6. Tables and Figures
All images, graphs, and figures are to be named as Figure and all tables as Table. Tables and figures should be numbered and have defining titles. The title of tables should be placed above the table while the title of figures should be placed beneath.

Figures should be high quality, and the colours used in the figures should be black and white. In tables vertical lines should not be used. Horizontal lines should be used only to separate the subtitles within the table. The size of the tables and figures should not exceed the page size. Decimal numbers to be used in tables should be given as 2 digits after the comma. 

7. List of Appendices
Appendices should be given at the end of the manuscripts after the references.

8. Quotations and Citations
Authors should follow the 6th version of the APA (American Psychological Association) reference style for both in-text citation and references list. Citations must be indicated with the author's surname and publication year within the parenthesis. If more than one citation is made within the same parenthesis, separate them with (;).

    Authors must ensure that the names and the dates of the references are the same both in the text and the list of references.

9. References
The references should be included at the end of the text and should be named as a references under the format of the publication of the APA (American Psychological Association) style 6th Edition (https://apastyle.apa.org/). The utilised citations should be given in alphabetical order and 11 font size in the references section. The scientific studies belonging to the same author should be sorted from the oldest to the newest one. If the author’s name is not certain, the name of the scientific study should be written instead of the author name. The second and subsequent lines of the reference section should be set to start from 1 cm inside.
