Abstract
The dimension of tightness-looseness culture, considered as a rising value, is defined as the number, power and effect of social norms, rules and sanctions in an organization. In this sense, it is important to determine the influence and power of the social and social networks that play a key role in achieving the organizations' strategic goals and objectives. This study aims to find a significant difference between the dimensions of tightness-looseness culture and the structural/managerial characteristics of organizations in Turkey's leading industrial enterprises. In this research, conducted through white-collar employees of organizations, it has been examined whether the dimension of tightness-looseness culture is significantly differentiated in terms of the organizations' capital structure, level of internationalization, size and management philosophy. According to the results of the research, statistically significant differences was found between the average scores of tightness-looseness culture dimension of foreign capital organizations and other capital structures; the existence of professional managers in organizations and other management philosophies; and the increasing levels of internationalization of organizations and other market dimensions. However, no statistically significant difference was found between the tightness-looseness culture dimension and the size of the organizations.
