It is seen that Turkish children’s literature has focused on issues such as immigrant and refugees for the last couple of years. In this study, children’s books (Umut Sokağı Çocukları, Kömür Karası Çocuk, Kuş Olsam Evime Uçsam, Juju Beni Unutma, Halepli Zeynep) were evaluated in terms of acculturation model. The common focus of these books can be stated to be on making effort to understand the refugees. The experiences, emotions, and thoughts of refugees during their immigration and adaptation to Turkey were expressed by the words of children’s perspective. Moreover, the attitudes of Turkish people towards refugees and its reflection of children’s souls were described realistically.
