Samet Kuşçu was born in 1919 in Antakya. Samet Kuşçu graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1938. Later, he started to the Warfare Academy and quickly rose in the army as a promising bright officer. With his duties, intelligence and culture, he made him aware of the junta and secret intervention movements created within the army. When he learned that there would be a coup against the government in 1957, he reported this. However, the government of the period suspended this situation instead of taking necessary care. Instead of the officers, Samet Kuşçu was arrested and expelled from the army. He was released when Kuşçu's proved right from the 1960 coup. After Samet Kuşçu, no officer was able to tell the government what happened in the army to the government.
