Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Journal of Women and Society at Düzce University is committed not only to producing original academic contributions to the field of women’s studies but also to promoting high standards of research ethics. Both research articles and review papers must be prepared in strict compliance with ethical principles.

Ethics Committee Approval and Publication Ethics
- For all research articles, authors are required to submit an Ethics Committee Approval document issued by the relevant university or research institution at the time of submission.

- All studies must comply with recognized standards of scientific research and publication ethics.

- The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

- Authors, reviewers, editors, and the editorial board are expected to uphold the following responsibilities:

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

- Only individuals who have made a substantial and original contribution to the study should be listed as authors.

- All data presented in the manuscript must be accurate, original, and truthful.

- The following constitute ethical violations: plagiarism, data falsification or fabrication, duplicate publication, and unjustified authorship.

- Authors must not use previously published or submitted work without proper citation.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Reviewers must maintain impartiality and confidentiality in evaluating manuscripts.
- Reviewers should have no conflicts of interest with the authors.
- Reviews must be conducted according to scientific criteria and presented in a constructive, explanatory manner.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
- Editors must evaluate submissions solely on the basis of scientific merit and contribution, acting impartially.
- All editorial decisions should be guided by ethical principles and academic quality.
- Editors must avoid any conflicts of interest in relation to the manuscripts they handle.


Ethical Audit and Similarity Report
- All submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism check using similarity detection software.
- Manuscripts exceeding the journal’s similarity threshold will not proceed to review.
-Research articles are evaluated by at least two double-blind peer reviewers.
- The editorial board may request additional information or documentation from the author(s) if necessary.

Access and Fee Policy
The journal operates under an open-access policy: all articles are freely available online with no subscription barriers.
No submission, processing, or publication fees are charged to authors.
