Yerel Halkın Sürdürülebilir Turizm Tutumlarının İncelenmesi: Kuşadası Örneği

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı, Kuşadası yerel halkının sürdürülebilir turizm tutumlarını ve sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimini desteklemeye yönelik niyetlerini etkileyen faktörler arasındaki ilişkileri incelemektir. Bu doğrultuda, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden anket tekniği kullanılarak veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Kuşadası’nda ikamet eden yerel halk oluşturmaktadır. 28.03.2023-15.05.2023 tarihleri arasında, kolayda örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak online olarak 390 anket toplanmış ve değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Yerel halkın sürdürülebilir turizm tutumlarını ölçmek için Sirakaya Turk ve Gursoy’un (2013) geliştirdiği 7 boyut ve 21 ifadeden oluşan Sürdürülebilir Turizm Tutum Ölçeği’nin (SUS-TAS) kısa versiyonu ve yerel halkın sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimini destekleme niyetini ölçmek amacıyla Nicholas, Thapa ve Ko (2009) geliştirdiği 6 ifade ve tek boyuttan oluşan ölçek kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, kısmi en küçük kareler yol analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu amaçla SmartPLS yazılımının 4. versiyonu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre, yerel halkın çevresel sürdürebilirlik, toplumsal katılımı maksimize etme, toplumsal merkezli ekonomi ve ziyaretçi memnuniyeti sağlama tutumlarının, turizm gelişimini destekleme üzerinde anlamlı pozitif bir etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Algılanan sosyal maliyetler boyutunun etkisi ise negatif yönlüdür.
