A Review of “Last Tango with Hekaton- A Meta-Analysis of the Global Project to Subvert the Family and Restructure Humanity”
Abstract
In this study, Mustafa Merter's book titled The Last Tango with Hekaton - A Meta-Analysis of the Global Project of Destroying the Family and Restructuring Humanity is analyzed. In the book, when, why and how the project, which the author claims to exist, started, its scope, its intellectual background, the stages it has gone through and the current state it has reached, the dangers it contains and the measures proposed against them are discussed. The author has tried to present his findings on the project with its philosophical, psychological, sociological, political, legal and historical dimensions. The book has contributed to the field by providing a perspective on the background and interconnectedness of the rapid global social changes in gender and the family, which the author believes pose a danger to humanity and ancient traditions, as well as warning against these dangers and suggesting measures against them. However, the book is open to criticism on the grounds that it is not completely objective and scientific in the sense that the connection between these changes belongs to the author, that the topics in the book are handled with an approach that prioritizes tradition despite the fact that it can be criticized and changed, that it is supported by assumptions in this direction, that changing conditions and social needs are neglected in the interpretation of social fluctuations that are claimed to be guided, and that it does not contain a bibliography.

Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Mustafa Merter’in Hekaton’la Son Tango- Aileyi İfsad Etme ve İnsanlığı Yeniden Yapılandırma Küresel Projesi’nin Bir Meta-Analizi isimli kitabı incelenmiştir. Kitapta, yazarın varlığını öne sürdüğü projenin ne zaman, neden ve nasıl başladığı, kapsamı, düşünsel arka planı, hangi aşamalardan geçip halen hangi duruma geldiği, içerdiği tehlikeler ve bunlara karşı önerilen tedbirler ele alınmıştır. Yazar; kitapta öne sürdüğü projeye dair tespitlerini felsefi, psikolojik, sosyolojik, politik, hukuki ve tarihi boyutlarıyla ortaya koymaya çalışmıştır. Kitap, yazarın cinsiyet ve aile konusunda insanlık ile kadim gelenekler açısından tehlike arz ettiğini düşündüğü küresel çaptaki hızlı sosyal değişimlerin arka planı ve birbiriyle bağlantısı konusunda bir bakış açısı sunmasının yanında bu tehlikelere karşı uyarıda bulunup tedbirler önermesi yönüyle alanına katkı yapmıştır. Ancak kitap, bu değişimler arasındaki bağlantının kurgusunun yazara ait olması yönüyle tamamen objektif ve bilimsel olmaması, kitabın içeriğindeki konuların eleştirilebilir ve değiştirilebilir olan geleneği önceleyen bir yaklaşımla ele alınıp yer yer bu doğrultudaki varsayımlarla desteklenmesi, güdümlü olduğu öne sürülen sosyal dalgalanmaların yorumlanmasında değişen şartların ve toplumsal ihtiyaçların ihmal edilmesi ve bir bibliyografya içermemesi yönleriyle eleştiriye açıktır.
